Ham Common is a heathland next to Poole Harbour. It offers beautiful views over the harbour, to the Purbecks. The common has an adjoining beach, lake and area of woodland.

What to see
Ham Common is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its rare Eocene Age plant fossils.
The common is also home to:

You can park in both free car parks:
- Lake Drive car park
- the viewpoint car park on Napier Road (Rockley Holiday Park)
Your dog must be on a short lead during bird breeding: 1 March to 31 July every year, and when livestock is near. Remember to keep your dog under close control and to pick up after it.
