Located on the northern shore of Poole Harbour, Hamworthy Park beach offers an oasis of peace and tranquillity from the busy town centre. It provides the setting for outstanding panoramic views over the middle and upper reaches of the harbour towards the Purbeck Hills in the distance.
We have the following facilities available:
- public toilets, including disabled
- children's play area
- seasonal paddling pool
There is no ramp access to Hamworthy beach; you have to use steps. We recommend Sandbanks and Shore Road beaches for ease of access.
We have a number of beach huts and beach hut sites available for annual hire. Please note you will have to provide your own beach hut when hiring a site.
Hamworthy Park beach is a designated dog beach and can be used all year round.
Always keep dogs on a lead on the promenade. Read our dogs on the beach page.
Please be a responsible owner and pick up after your dog.
Barbecues are not permitted on Hamworthy Park beach.
Open fires are not permitted on any of our beaches at any time. You may be prosecuted if you attempt to light an open fire.
Camping is not permitted on any of our beaches at any time. You may be prosecuted if you attempt to camp anywhere along the seafront.
