Social care transport

Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service

On advice from the government regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), some services have changed. Find the latest information and advice about our services for vulnerable adults in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

See further information about changes to services.

This service is organised by our passenger transport section on behalf of adult social care – services and children and young people's social care.

Transport is provided if it is identified as an assessed need. For queries regarding your eligibility for transport please contact your care manager.

Transport may be arranged by us for many reasons including:

  • people attending day care establishments
  • short term break transport
  • children’s contact visits
  • transport to school for children in care

Transport is provided using our in house accessible vehicles or by using volunteer drivers, taxis or coaches.

For queries regarding transport eligibility for adults please contact your adult social care – services care manager on 01202 633902 or for children in care, please contact children and young people's social care on 01202 735046.
