Adult Social Care Helpdesk
Contact the helpdesk to discuss your situation further with a Helpdesk officer. The outcome of the discussion may include making a referral to a specialist social work team who would then contact you in due course:

Members of the public, service users and their carers, and all agencies can contact us directly on the telephone number above. All calls are answered by an experienced social worker. At busy periods you may get an answerphone message, so please leave a message if your need is urgent and we will return your call.
We cover the full range of Social Services including childcare, mental health, older people and learning and physical disability. Information and advice is provided, and where necessary we visit to further assess needs and provide services.

Out of hours service
This service provides emergency cover and access to essential Social Services when the daytime Social Services are closed. We cover Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset both adults and children's. We are open from 5:00pm until 9:00am Monday to Thursday, and from 4:00pm Friday through until 9:00am Monday, as well as Bank Holidays.
