Sexual health

Sexual Health Dorset provides all methods of contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing and support, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. These health services are available at various locations across Dorset. Clinics are also available in some GP surgeries.

Your GP may also be able to provide contraception. In addition, your GP or local pharmacy may also be able to supply free emergency contraception (the morning after pill).

Sexual trauma and recovery service

STARS is a voluntary organisation run for men, women and young people over 16 whose lives have been affected by rape, sexual abuse, sexual assault or any kind of sexual violence.

They work with women, men, children and young people who live in the Poole area and can be contacted on 01202 308855.
