Our offer to care leavers aged 16 to 25

Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have made changes to our services for vulnerable adults to make sure that they are both effective and safe.

See further information about changes to services.

Find out more about the support and services available to care leavers aged 16 to 25.

The local offer for care leavers gives information about the support and services available to young people aged 16 to 25 who have been in the care of the Borough of Poole.

In 2018, support to care leavers has been extended further. We now offer support, advice and guidance to all care leavers up to the age of 25 to ensure they receive the right help in being independent and managing adult life.

The local offer brings together all the information about the support and services available to care leavers in being a young adult - who will help them, care leaver entitlements and links to useful websites.

We understand that not all care leavers will want our support but we know that things can change over time. We will keep in touch with all care leavers until they are 25 to make sure they don’t forget where we are in case they need us.

We want to say a huge thank you to our Poole care leaver forum in helping us make sure our offer was made with care leavers for care leavers.
