The communications service provides strategic, guidance, advice and practical support in the following areas:
- communications
- media relations
- crisis communications
This service is tailored to need, specifically to:
- provide communications support, in particular media management, during crisis or emergency situations of high media interest (e.g. death or serious injury of pupils or staff, alleged serious crime by a member of staff, etc)
- provide advice on staff, pupil and parent communications during such incidents and assistance in producing letters, briefing notes
- monitoring of media coverage of crisis or emergency situations
Please note: schools not purchasing this service will no longer receive automatic support in a crisis/emergency situation unless the incident has a major impact on Borough of Poole’s reputation.
