Apply for a secondary or upper school place

Before completing your application, it is recommended that you read the:

Applying for a School Place for September 2021

You have the right to express a preference for the school you would prefer your child to attend in September 2021.

The published closing dates for secondary school are:

  • 31 October 2020

You must apply to the local authority where you live, even if the schools you are applying for are in another area.

You can apply online or download an application form to post or email to us.

Apply online

You must have your own email address to create an account and apply online.

If you are a resident outside of the BCP area, you should contact your local authority for details of how to apply:

Applying on faith grounds

There are a number of faith schools within the BCP area that require proof of religious commitment to be considered under their faith criteria. If you are applying for one of these schools, you will need to complete and return a Faith Grounds Supplementary Information Form 2021 (SIF):

You need to ask your priest or minister to complete and return it to our school admissions team by the published closing date. If you are thinking of applying to another faith school, please check their website and policy to find out if they require completion of their own SIF.

If you do not return a completed SIF by the published closing date your application will still be processed but the SIF will not be taken into account.

Application outcomes

If you apply online you can login to your account and view the result of your application on the notification date.

  • 1 March 2021
All parents who have submitted an on time application will be notified of the outcome by post. The letter will be posted by first class mail on the published notification date.
