Apply for a primary, infant or first school place

The closing date for on time applications is 15 January 2019.

Before completing your application, it is recommended that you read the:

Applying for a school place for September 2019

You have the right to express a preference for the school you'd prefer your child to attend in September 2019.

The published closing date for admission to reception is:

  • 15 January 2019

You must apply to the local authority where you live, even if the schools you are applying for are in another area.

There are two ways to make your application:

  • online: you must have your own email address to create an account and apply online
  • paper application form: you can complete a paper application form for admission to reception

All late applications after the closing date must be made using the paper form.

Applying on faith grounds

To apply for a place at a school in Poole on religious grounds, download and complete the Faith Grounds Supplementary Information Form 2019 (SIF).

You need to ask your priest or minister to complete and return it to our school admissions team by the published closing date. If you're a Poole resident applying for a school outside of Poole on religious grounds, you must contact that school to ask what you need to do.

If you do not return a completed SIF by the published closing date your application will still be processed but the SIF will not be taken into account.

Applications received after the published closing dates will be processed after all the on time applications. This may mean that regularly oversubscribed schools are full before late applications are considered.

Applying on service premium grounds

To apply for a place at Twin Sails Infant School on service premium grounds, you must download and complete a Service Premium Supplementary Information Form 2019 (SIF)

You need to complete and return it to our school admissions team by the published closing date. If you're a Poole resident applying for a school outside of Poole on pupil premium grounds, you must contact that school to ask what you need to do.

If you do not return a completed SIF by the published closing date your application will still be processed but the SIF will not be taken into account.

Applications received after the published closing dates will be processed after all the on time applications. This may mean that regularly oversubscribed schools are full before late applications are considered.
