Sandbanks neighbourhood consultation

A proposed community group in Sandbanks led by Paul de Cordova (9 Salter Road, Poole, Dorset BH13 7RQ) has applied to us for designation as a Neighbourhood Forum and a Neighbourhood Area. Mr de Cordova can be contacted on 01202 973794 or decordovascg@gmail.com.

We are now seeking views and comments on the application from residents and other interested parties. The consultation period begins on 23 September 2019 and concludes on 4 November 2019.

The application shows the area within which the proposed Sandbanks Neighbourhood Forum will operate and, if approved, the Forum may be able to exercise neighbourhood planning powers leading to the preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan under the Localism Act 2011. Representations should consider whether the neighbourhood area and the Neighbourhood Forum are appropriate to be designated.

The application and relevant information is lodged with the council and may be viewed between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm at Planning & Regeneration, BCP Council, The Civic Centre, Poole, Dorset, BH15 2RU.

A copy is also held at the Canford Cliffs Library, 6 Western Road, Poole, BH13 7BN.

Comments on the application may be made in the following ways:

By email to planning.poole@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

By post to:

All duly made comments will be considered and will feed into the council’s formal decision making process.

Please note that if the Neighbourhood Forum is designated, no other organisation may be designated as a Neighbourhood Forum for the purposes of the Localism Act 2011 and the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 for that Neighbourhood Area until the designation expires or is withdrawn. This will only affect the ability to exercise Neighbourhood Planning powers and will not affect the existence or creation of any other neighbourhood community voluntary or charitable bodies in the area.

This survey closed on 4 November 2019. Thank you for your views. Comments received are available here. We have also received 13 late representations to the consultation.
