BCP Council Local Plan

The first step in preparing a new Local Plan covering Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

The plan provides a framework of policies and site allocations to guide development over the next 20 years. This will help us meet identified needs for new homes, jobs, infrastructure and other supporting services within the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. While both respecting and protecting the local area's best features including the coast; internationally designated environments, particularly heathland; Green Belt and areas at present and future risk of flooding.

The consolidated BCP Local Plan will eventually replace the existing Local Plan Documents adopted by the preceding 3 councils.

Please see  BCP Council — Local Plan  for details of the (now closed) Issues, Call for Sites and Statement of Community Involvement consultation.
