Winning candidates announced for parliamentary elections in Poole

The results of the voting across the two Poole constituencies in this year’s General Election have now been announced. 

Robert Syms (Conservative) has been elected as MP for the Poole constituency, whilst Michael Tomlinson (Conservative) will serve Mid Dorset and North Poole.

The full list of votes cast in each constituency is as follows:

Marty CAINE - Demos Direct Initiative Party - 551

Adrian OLIVER - Green Party - 1,299

Mike PLUMMER - Liberal Democrat - 4,433

Robert SYMS - Conservative - 28,888

Katie TAYLOR - Labour - 14,679

Verified votes: 49,976

Turnout: 67.72%


Mid-Dorset and North Poole 

Steve BREW - Labour - 6,423

Vikki SLADE - Liberal Democrat - 13,246

Michael TOMLINSON - Conservative - 28,585

Verified votes: 48,410


Turnout: 74.42%
