Last chance to volunteer during Poole Maritime Festival

As the town gets ready to embrace all things maritime as part of Poole Maritime Festival, there’s still time for local people to get involved. 

There are various opportunities available for local people and groups to play their part in one of the biggest maritime celebrations in Poole in recent years. 

Talented and enthusiastic people are needed to support the Poole Maritime Festival team in delivering this high profile event. This is a great opportunity, whether you want to learn new skills, be active in the community, make new friends or you are just proud of Poole. You can sign up to be a General Volunteer or a Volunteer Manager. 

Volunteers are needed on: 

•   Friday 19 May from 12 - 4pm and from 4 - 8pm 

•   Saturday 20 May from 9 – 12pm, 12 - 4pm and from 4 - 6pm 

•   Sunday 21 May from 9 – 12pm, 12 - 4pm and from 4 - 6pm 

Volunteers are also needed to play a variety of roles at two of the newly created events in Poole – Seven Seas Festival and Taste of the South. These offer the perfect opportunity to gain valuable outdoor event experience. Also if you love to dance, act, sing or just take part in a performance then Valise Noire Storytelling Theatre are looking for 35 enthusiastic volunteers to play the crew or act as stewards in a dynamic new outdoor performance - CARGO

This spectacular performance will bring Poole's maritime heritage of The Great Quay to life. The performances will take place along Poole Quay on Thursday 18 and Saturday 20 May. To see how you can get involved contact
