Ofsted inspectors have judged 100% of Poole’s early years childcare groups and childminders to be ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
Some 148 early years providers operating in Poole have undergone Ofsted inspections to evaluate their overall quality and standards.
Good and outstanding judgements require providers to show that they deliver a high standard of teaching, effective safeguarding and ensure that all children feel safe and happy.
Cllr Mike White, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Children, young people and learning, Borough of Poole, said: “Early years child care helps to prepare children for school while also providing valuable support for working parents. The dedication of Poole providers and their commitment to giving high quality care and early education to our youngest children is commendable and we thank them sincerely for the difference they make to each and every child in their care.”
The Poole Family Information Directory (FID) can provide help and support to families looking for suitable child care in the town, along with providing one-to-one assistance.
