A series of overnight closures will take place on the Bridge Approach and Poole Bridge from Monday 26 February up to and including Friday 9 March.
The bridge will be closed to road vehicles between 7pm and 7am. Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to cross the bridge using one walkway.
The 12 consecutive overnight closures will enable the removal of some temporary timber decking and installation of the permanent timber panels that form the walkways.
John Rice, Engineering Manager, Borough of Poole, said: "The temporary overnight planned closures will allow the contractor to complete some finishing touches to the bridge. The work has been programmed to minimise disruption to road users, so we hope it will not cause too much inconvenience."
Poole Bridge will continue to lift on the current lifting schedule during the day.
