Works are set to get underway on repairs at Poole’s Dolphin Swimming Pool.
The Dolphin Swimming Pool is approaching 50 years old and some of the substructure requires a large amount of repair work. A series of specialist contractors & engineers will undertake surveys and construction.
Anthony Rogers, Recreation Manager said:
“Investment of around £150K by the Borough in works to the dive pool walls and tower will enable the dive pool, which has been closed since October 2017, to reopen. This is a popular facility and we are delighted to be able to get work underway.
“We apologise for the closure of the dive pool during these essential repairs. However, whilst the work is being carried out to the dive pool & tower the rest of the facility, including the main pool will remain open.”
Plans should see the pool reopen Easter 2019.
