Browse and reserve

The online library catalogueprovides details of all the books we have available. There is a charge of £1 to reserve a book. If you would like to borrow a book that is not available through any Libraries West library, you can reserve it and we’ll try to get hold of it for you. There may be a higher charge for this service.

Borrow and return

Once you have a library card you can borrow from any Poole Library, and can return the items to any Poole library.

You can borrow up to 20 items in any combination of books, audio books, DVDs, Blu-ray and CDs. You can borrow books for three weeks initially - longer if you renew them.

If your items are overdue make sure you contact us as soon as possible to renew them - this will stop charges increasing. You can renew online. There is even a terminal in the bus station where you can renew items.
