Plans to reopen BCP libraries

We will be reopening Poole Library and Christchurch Library on Monday 6 July and Bournemouth Library and Kinson Library on Tuesday 7 July.

Revised opening times for Poole Library from Monday 6 July

Poole Central Library:

  • Monday: 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 6pm 
  • Tuesday: 9.30am to 1pm 
  • Wednesday to Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm 
  • Saturday: 10am to 3pm

Enquiries and Order & Collect: 

Download the Order & Collect form and email or telephone us with your order.

Social distancing safety measures will be in place and the services provided will be:

  • book loans and quick browsing, initially with a more restricted size of collection until the guidance allows opening for full browsing. All stock will go into 72 hours quarantine on return
  • ‘order & collect’ - a new service where you can email or phone in requests for favourite genres or authors and staff will pick and pack a selection for pick up from the library
  • book bundles to borrow 
  • enquiry service mainly by email and phone
  • public PCs with social distancing and cleaning between each use
  • public toilet facilities with enhanced cleaning
  • the online services and the Home Library Service will continue to operate across the area
