We’re pleased to announce the launch of the new Borough of Poole website.
We’ve put a lot of focus on redesigning the site to make our online services easier and faster to use.
The new site will look completely different to the existing one and will be notable for its fresh, modern and uncluttered design.
We have also simplified it so you can find the information you want without having read through large amounts of unnecessary information.
As more of you are accessing our website using a mobile or tablet, we’ve created the site that adapts to the device accessing it (this is commonly known as responsive web design). In other words, whether you view our site on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer, you are accessing the same content, formatted for your device.
This is not to say the site is perfect. It’s not. It’s a work in progress.
But in making the site live now, we will better be able to capture feedback and solve the problems that affect you.
As part of the redesign we have launched a customer account.
Creating an account is easy and the benefits are:
- it stores your name and address details so you don't have to enter them again
- you can use it for other services in the future
Current services include:
- garden waste subscriptions
- beach hut hire
- bus pass applications
Improvements to the new site will be on-going with additional content, along with the introduction of a better search facility, more online forms and improved use of maps.
