The Care Certificate

This 4 day course enables social care staff to develop their skills and knowledge and to gain an understanding of their professional role and responsibilities. 

This course can also be attended as a refresher for existing staff.

Learning outcomes

By the end of these sessions, participants will have gained the basic knowledge of the following standards:

  • equality and diversity
  • working in a person centered way
  • communication
  • privacy and dignity
  • fluids and nutrition
  • awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disability
  • safeguarding adults

  • basic life support
  • health and safety (2 day Moving and Handling of People Induction course is also available)
  • handling information
  • infection prevention and control

The cost of this course is £80.
