We provide a service 5 days a week from:
- 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday
- 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays
You can contact us by email (environment@poole.gov.uk) or phone 01202 123 123.
Extended hours
We also offer an extended service for environmental nuisance issues such as noise and bonfires, dog control and licensing enforcement.
Our extended hours are:
- 9am to 5pm Saturday
- 8pm to 2am Monday to Friday
This service is popular with residents who require us to investigate matters at evenings, weekends and over the holiday periods when the offices are closed. It is also available on additional evenings subject to demand.
Please phone 0800 506050 and an adviser will inform you if an officer is available. If they are not, details can be referred for our attention on the following day.
Out of hours service
There is an officer available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in the event of an emergency.
Examples of what we would consider to be an emergency are problems involving serious events such as fatalities, imminent risks to health or acute pollution of the environment.
These types of emergencies do not always happen during office hours so if you think that a emergency situation has occurred, you can call our main control room on 0800 506050.
Although each call is an emergency to the caller, the majority received can be dealt with by advice or referral to a more appropriate service. However, the duty officer will always be available and where appropriate will visit to take the necessary enforcement action.
