Turlin Moor North consultation

A consultation was run on a mixed housing and community development scheme in Turlin Moor North between 16 May and 23 June.

Residents of Poole were invited to give their views on a project to explore options for providing:

  • housing
  • affordable homes
  • improved community facilities

Initial proposals have the potential to create up to 400 new homes, including more than 40% affordable housing, on council-owned land close to Blandford Road.

We also identified part of the open space at Turlin Moor Recreation as a site for the potential scheme.

The scheme could provide several other benefits including:

  • better sports facilities and pitches
  • improvements to the open space
  • a second access road on to Blandford Road
  • an improved community centre

The improvements are based on the priorities you tell us about.

People told us their opinions at a drop in event held at St Gabriel’s Church Hall on Wednesday 17 May between 11am and 8pm.

Your feedback will be used to draw up proposals for community benefits should the scheme go ahead.

You can read about the findings of the consultation in the consultation report.

If this scheme goes ahead, an outline planning application could be submitted in Autumn 2017 with the first homes being built in 2019.
