A Broadstone Community Group has applied to us for renewal as a Neighbourhood Forum and area boundary in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012. We already approved the forum and area boundary in February 2013, for a period of five years. This application is simply to renew it for a further five years.
We are now seeking views and comments on the application from residents and other interested parties. The consultation period begins on 10 November 2017 and concludes on 22 December 2017.
The application shows the area within which the proposed Broadstone Neighbourhood Forum will operate and, if approved, the Forum may be able to exercise neighbourhood planning powers leading to the preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan under the Localism Act 2011. Representations should consider whether the neighbourhood area and the Neighbourhood Forum are appropriate to be designated.
The application and relevant information is lodged with the council and may be viewed between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm. at Planning & Regeneration, Borough of Poole, The Civic Centre, Poole, Dorset, BH15 2RU.
View the information online.
A copy is also held at the Broadstone Library, 10 Story Lane, Broadstone, BH18 8EQ.
Comments on the application may be made in the following ways:
By email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
By post to Tanya Coulter, Head of Legal & Democratic Services, The Borough of Poole, Civic Centre, Poole, Dorset, BH15 2RU.
All duly made comments will be considered and will feed into the council’s formal decision making process.
Please note that if the Neighbourhood Forum is designated, no other organisation may be designated as a Neighbourhood Forum for the purposes of the Localism Act 2011 and the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 for that Neighbourhood Area until the designation expires or is withdrawn. This will only affect the ability to exercise Neighbourhood Planning powers and will not affect the existence or creation of any other neighbourhood community voluntary or charitable bodies in the area.
