Disability Harassment Report

4 October - 1 November 2013

We asked panel members about any situations where they may have experienced, or witnessed disability-related harassment.

We found that 74% said they, or any disabled person they knew, had not been the subject of harassment, frightened or hurt (physically, mentally or verbally) as a result of a disability. Half of members had reported cases of disability harassment towards them or someone they know to somebody.

11% of panel members had heard of the “Speak Out” campaign, with 46% of those hearing about it through Poole News or the Borough of Poole website 14%.
