98% of panel members feel safe when out and about in Poole during the day, and 78% when out and about at night.

Figures recently released by Poole Police show a 19% decrease in alcohol related assaults in 2009 and the lowest levels of ASB (anti-social behaviour) in the Borough for the past 3 years.

However, many panel members remain concerned about these issues, with 78% viewing anti-social behaviour, and 73% drunkenness and associated bad behaviour as a problem.

There has been an increase in the number of Panel Members who are aware of Safer Neighbourhoods (43%), and 29% know of the Safer Poole Partnership. However, around two-thirds feel that we could be doing more to keep residents informed about what we are doing to tackle anti-social behaviour in Poole.
