IRIS

IRIS stands for "Identification and Referral to Improve Safety" and is a general practice based domestic violence and abuse programme. We operate in practices across Poole. We work with primary care and third sector domestic abuse specialists. Our goal is to increase referrals to organisations who can help victims.

Victims of abuse trust health care professionals, and believe their doctor is one of the few people to whom they can talk. Many will not disclose abuse without you asking. They report wanting to hear the question, and expect an appropriate response. This is where IRIS can help you.
