Help when leaving care
We are committed to the best outcomes for the young people in and leaving our care.
We have a team of workers based in the Pathways Team at Children and Young People's Social Care who specialise in preparing young people for independence and helping and equipping them afterwards.
When a young person becomes 16 the team help them to begin to plan for their future, including help with education, work, housing, health and money. This support continues until their 21st birthday or beyond if they are still in education at 21. Please see our information about the supported lodging scheme.
