Giving notice of marriage or civil partnership

Giving notice of marriage or civil partnership costs £35.

You must pay at the time of your appointment.

You can pay by:

  • cash
  • cheque
  • credit or debit card

Ceremony fees

Ceremony fees include a non-refundable deposit, the registrars attendance, and one certificate.

Fees don't include venue hire for approved venues; please speak to the venue staff for costs.

The Guildhall

The cost of a ceremony in the Guildhall, for the couple and up to 120 other people.

1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019:

  • Monday to Thursday: £286
  • Friday: £399
  • Saturday: £499

1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020:

  • Monday to Thursday: £295
  • Friday: £410
  • Saturday: £499

The Robing Room

The cost of a ceremony in The Robing Room, for the couple and up to 12 other people.

1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019:

  • Monday to Thursday: £110
  • Friday and Saturday: £165

1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020:

  • Monday to Thursday: £113
  • Friday and Saturday: £170

Poole approved venues

The cost of a ceremony in an approved venue in Poole. These fees don't include venue hire, and the number of guests vary between venues. You should speak to them to find out more.

1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019:

  • Monday to Friday: £456
  • Saturdays: £491
  • Sundays and bank holidays: £540

Poole Register Office

The cost of a ceremony in Poole Register Office.
