Book a date for your wedding or civil partnership

Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service

Following the latest coronavirus (COVID-19) advice from the government, small weddings and civil partnership ceremonies are allowed to take place with a limited number of guests.

See further information about changes to services.

When to book

You can book a wedding as far as 2 years ahead.

To secure your date at the earliest possible opportunity at Poole, we offer a provisional booking service by telephone but you can also make an appointment to come and see us.

You will need to contact the Register Office on 01202 633744 with a couple of dates in mind in case your first date has already been booked.

What you need to tell us

We will need the following information to make a provisional booking:

  • your full names and surnames
  • your full addresses and post codes
  • contact telephone numbers (home/work/mobile)
  • your marital status
  • your nationalities

Make an appointment to book in person

If you do not want to make a booking by telephone, or need to come to Poole to do this we will arrange an appointment that is convenient for you.

If you need to do this at other register offices, you will need to arrange a time and date with the appropriate Superintendent Registrar.

If you give notice in another district then they will inform us, and we will send you a pack.
