Guidance for safer working practice for adults who work with children and young people

The most recent guidance for safe working with children was published under the previous government, amended in January 2009 and has yet to be replaced in the light of the publication of “Working Together to Safeguard Children” in March 2013. Nevertheless the guidance remains very useful and the most current guidance available. It particularly refers to Education settings.

The previous government also produced guidance for any adult who may be worried that a child or young person is being abused. Similarly this guidance remains very useful and the most current guidance available, known as “What to do if you are worried a child is being abused.”
