About me

I was first elected in May 2015 to the role of councillor for Hamworthy West. I believe we live in an outstanding part of the country.

I have three children, two girls and one boy, and moved to Poole in the late 70s. Over the years I have spent my time raising my children and taking part in fundraising events, such as The Stanley Cup Football tournament raising money for cardiac risk in the young, and further fundraising for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Help for Heroes. In 2009 the whole community came together to put on a family fun day on Turlin Moor recreation ground, called Summer Fest.

I am proud to live in Turlin Moor as we have so many great amenities on our doorstep, such as Hamworthy Park and Upton Country Park, and a lot of fantastic community spirit. I became a councillor to make the community’s voices heard and I look forward to helping the community of Hamworthy West to the best of my ability.

My priorities

  • To work with the community to find solutions to any problems that may arise
  • To work alongside the Friends of Hamworthy Park to raise much-needed funds to refurbish Hamworthy Park paddling pool
  • To improve the communication between the community and council members so we can work together for the better of Hamworthy and Poole
