Route 8
Transportation Services are supporting the following three bus routes operated by Damory Coaches, Roadliner Passenger Transport and Shamrock Buses:-

Service Number 8 (The Rossmore Flyer)
Alderney East - Bourne Estate - Ashley Road - Lower Parkstone Circular Service via Albert Road, Alton Road and Penn Hill
Service Number 32
Merley - Oakdale(Pound Lane) - Poole Bus Station via Fleetsbridge Tesco and Poole Hospital
These new services take you straight to your local shops and amenities. They also connect with more frequent buses on the main roads.
Don't forget that all journeys on these buses are free with a Connect card so if you are a permanent Poole resident over sixty you can apply. Younger people with certain disabilities may also qualify.
Service Number 8 (The Rossmore Flyer)
Alderney East - Upper Parkstone - Penn Hill
Service number 8 runs hourly in the daytime and follows a simple circular route.
It links Alderney East with Bourne Estate and takes you straight to your local shops on the Ashley Road.
From here there are connections to frequent buses to Poole Bournemouth and beyond.
Even better, the bus is extended in a loop to serve Lower Parkstone. This gives residents in Alton Road, Sandecotes Rd and Penn Hill a much requested direct service to Upper Parkstone.
We've also updated the bus. It now has a low, step-free entrance for wheelchair access. It's great for buggies and shopping trolleys too!
There's now luxury coach style seating and even air conditioning for your comfort, plus a friendly driver too!
Service number 8 is a circular from Evering Avenue, Corbiere Avenue, Jersey Road, Alderney Avenue, Ringwood Road, Rossmore Road, Stanfield Road, Herbert Avenue, Arne Avenue, Northmere Road, Herbert Avenue, Stanfield Road, Rossmore Road, Albert Road, Ashley Road, Richmond Road, St Osmunds Road, Woodside Road, Kingsbridge Road, Osbourne Road, Alton Road, Corfe View Road, Durrant Road, Sandecotes Road, Links Road, St Osmunds Road, Kings Avenue, Penn Hill Avenue, St Osmunds Road, Richmond Road, Salisbury Road, Ashley Road, Albert Road, Rossmore Road, Ringwood Road, Alderney Post Office, Ringwood Road to Evering Avenue.
