Cycle Training
Phase I Cycle training: a 4-hour course which takes place off-road and involves basic cycle skills. The course can be undertaken by children in year 4 and above and is available at some Poole schools.
Phase II Cycle: training is an on-road course which is suitable for children in years 5 and above and takes 6 hours to complete. The course includes on-road practice and a test on the Highway Code. The training is available at most Poole middle and combined schools and usually takes place after school. Please contact your child's school to get details of the next available course.
Children will need roadworthy bikes in order to participate in these courses. Yellow jackets are supplied by the Borough.
Pedal Again in Poole: This course is aimed at people who want to regain their cycling confidence. It starts and finishes at Upton Country Park where parking, refreshment and toilet facilities are available. Bikes are available for hire if required. Please phone 01202 262066 for further details.
One to One Adult Training: We have an Adult Cycle Trainer who is trained to National Standard and is a keen cyclist. He offers one-to-one training and can teach adults to ride a bike or accompany them in order to build up confidence together with giving advice on maintenance etc. Please phone 01202 262066 for further details.
