Cyclists' Facilities

There are over 500 "Sheffield link will open in new window" stands for cycle parking in the Borough as well as 44 free Bykebins in the town centre. These 'bins' offer individual enclosed parking for cycles together with hooks on the inside of the door for hanging helmets, equipment etc.  Bikes should be reversed into the 'bins' and the front wheel turned to the side. A secondary locking point is located on the floor of the 'bin'. The door of the 'bin' should be secured with a padlock or strong D-lock. 'Bins' are located at:

  • Poole High Street - alley beside the Methodist Church;
  • Castle Street - outside the entrance to Old Orchard car park;
  • The end of Kingland Road bus station - near Seldown Bridge subway, and
  • Opposite the railway station in Serpentine Road - under Towngate Bridge
