Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy
Purpose
The Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy is Poole Partnership's response to the 2004 National Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy for England, which tasked local Partnerships with improving information and providing support to address the adverse consequences of alcohol misuse. It sets out clear evidence based objectives, directions and actions describing how the problems of alcohol misuse within the Borough will be addressed through joint working across agencies.
The Partnerships key priorities for 2007-2010 include:
· Reducing alcohol related crime and the fear of crime
· Improving treatment access and effectiveness.
· Reducing alcohol related harm caused to the individual and society.
· Reducing alcohol related road accidents and drink driving.
