Celebrate Full of Life Day 2013 by doing something new!

Borough of Poole and its partners are celebrating Older People’s Day on 1 October by encouraging residents to join in the many exciting activities that take place regularly across the borough.

There are a wide variety of clubs and activities that would love to welcome new faces to their groups.

The 'Crafts and Laughs' group meet at the Kaf in Turlin Road every Thursday between 8am and 12 noon, offering a variety of crafts for free in a friendly atmosphere. For more details, please contact Paula Wade on 01202 633430.

On Tuesday 1 October, 'Full of Life' adult storytimes with coffee and cakes will be held at Poole Central Library (10am), Hamworthy Library (10am) and Rossmore Library (11am). All libraries also have weekly activities, such as drop in computer buddy sessions to help you get online.

On Saturday 5 October, head to Upton Country Park for an easy bike ride from 2pm. To book a place, please email pool@dcn.org.uk. Alternatively, you can join a one-day composting course. Booking in advance is essential, so please telephone 01202 261358.

To mark World Mental Health Day, there is also an art walk around Holes Bay, starting from outside ASDA, on Monday 7 October from 10am. For further information, please call Anna Shiels on 07786 191192.
