What is your Vision for Poole’s future?

How would you like Poole to be as a place to live, work and visit in 2031?

Borough of Poole and Poole Partnership are currently refreshing their strategies for Poole and the Vision for 2031. Based on the needs and aspirations of local people, the shared vision will provide the context for the plans of the Council, partners and local communities.

An artist's impression of the Vision for Poole has been created, based upon feedback already received from local people. Poole Partnership now wants to receive comments from more residents to ensure the refreshed vision reflects local people’s views.

The Vision for Poole will be on show in public libraries throughout the summer. The team will be available to hear your views at various community events and local supermarkets during the summer, including the following:

  • Friday 2 August - 10.00 am to 12.00 pm - The Co-Operative, Bearwood(outside)

  • Monday 5 August - 10.00 am to 5.00 pm - Tesco’s, Tower Park

  • Tuesday 6 August - 9.00 am to 4.00 pm - Dolphin Shopping Centre

  • Wednesday 14 August - 10.00 am to 12.00 pm - Merley Food market

  • Friday 16 August - 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm - Asda, Canford Heath

Cllr Elaine Atkinson, Leader of the Council, Borough of Poole, said: "The artist has done a great job representing people’s views in a picture. We hope that people will now comment on this, so that we can be sure that the refreshed vision is a true reflection of local people’s aspirations for Poole."

Richard Dimbleby, independent Chair of Poole Partnership, said: "Poole Partnership brings together partners to work together towards the vision for Poole’s future by focusing on local people’s priorities for improving quality of life for everyone. The views that people express will help shape the work of the council and partners in improving quality of life in Poole.”
