Time is running out for nominations for the final Poole Achievement Awards of the Millennium.The Borough of Poole is inviting residents to nominate any individual, business or organisation for their outstanding achievements and contributions to Poole.
The closing date for nominations is Friday 3rd December 1999.
The Awards are a continuing commitment by the Borough, to honour people of all ages and from all walks of life. Nominations can be submitted for an individual, organisation or business thought to deserve an Award in recognition of their effort, service, dedication or achievement in making Poole a better place in which to live or work.
Individual nominees must live or work in Poole and organisations and businesses must be located within the Borough. The Awards will be presented at the Civic Reception and Awards Ceremony on 18th February 2000.
Mayor Cllr Bill Wretham, said: "So many people work tirelessly for local charities, the community and the town. Their dedication is an inspiration to us all and this is our chance to thank them".
