\n

Exciting powerboat displays will be on offer this Thursday, 24 August as ‘On the Beach’ returns with its weekly celebration.

The Zap Cats Waterborne display will treat the crowds to the sight of Powerboats blasting around Poole Bay as an extra feature to the weekly event. A wide variety of live music and breathtaking fireworks will also be on show along with plenty of activities for the children such as Banana boats and Pole jousting.

Ann Simpson, Special Events Officer, said: ‘On the Beach’ has offered fantastic live music and displays this summer. This week will be extremely lively with latin music, steel drums and the Southern Union Chorus Barbershop. Powerboat lovers should also be thrilled with the Zap Cats Waterborne display which is not to be missed!’

Lively Latin sounds from Mango Santamaria and Djambo will be on offer along with Swing City Big Band and the Southern Union Chorus Barbershop. Youngsters can again take part in the treasure hunt in sand or practice their football skills with Wayne Smith, AFC Bournemouth coach.

On the Beach starts from 6.30pm on the beaches of Sandbanks and Shore Road.
