Creekmoor Library Celebrates 10 Years In The Community

Creekmoor readers will join library staff to celebrate the tenth birthday of Creekmoor Library on Saturday 14th December.

Claire Chidley, Head of Culture and Community Learning said: "There have been many changes in library services over the last ten years and I'm pleased that the broader range of facilities we now offer has encouraged even more users. IT and Internet facilities are particularly popular with younger visitors who can also rent DVDs or videos."

Cllr Graham Wilson, Executive Portfolio Holder for Community Services said: "This library really is at the heart of the Creekmoor community. The branch manager Rose Epton-Peter and her team have worked hard to make it such a successful and valued facility. We want to welcome everyone to come along and join us for coffee, birthday cake and celebrations from 9.30am until 1pm. There will also be a Creekmoor quiz with fun and competitions for the children - you could even win a DVD player."

Special guests will be Cllr Graham Mason, Mayor of Poole and Cllr Annette Brooke MP as well as local ward councillors - Cllr Judy Butt, Cllr Chand Ewart and Cllr Les Burden.
