We recognise our employees are the 'life-blood' of the organisation so implementing the 'People Strategy' is a key priority.

Challenges
- Lead on the Council Priorities - Improving Housing for Local People and Meeting the needs of our Aging Population.
- Lead on Corporate Objectives - Promoting Health and Well-Being and Strengthening our Communities.
- Lead on Older People's Strategy.
- Principal support to Councillor Elaine Atkinson, Portfolio Holder of 'Well-Being and Housing'.
- Supporting the Implementation of Poole's People Strategy. Developing our Promoting Equality and Respecting Diversity policy and Race Equality Scheme.
- Improving the organisation's capacity to deliver our priorities and increasing our efficiency.
Community
- Co-ordinating a review of services for children and young people together with key partner agencies, including Poole Primary Care Trust and Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole Connexions service.
- Initial Chairman of Poole's Multi-Agency Racist Incident Panel. Borough representative on the Board of Poole Primary Care Trust.
