Arranging a funeral
If somebody dies and there are no relatives, friends, will beneficiaries or executor to organise their funeral, the Coroner's Office will contact Environmental & Consumer Protection for burial assistance.
Assistance with the cost of funerals
Free, impartial advice on arranging funerals is available from the Bereavement Services team based at Poole Crematorium. Local funeral directors may also have individual plans and payment schemes to help with the cost of funerals.
Where money is an issue and you are in receipt of certain benefits or entitlements you may qualify for a funeral payment from the Social Fund 
made by the Department of Work & Pensions.
