About Allotments

Allotments were once regarded as an important part of the war effort. Nowadays with the increase in housing requirements, allotments help people with little or no garden area to enjoy the taste of outdoor life and allow them to develop their green fingers!

There are eight allotment sites available in the Borough of Poole. The Alder Farm site is managed by the Alder Farm Allotments Association and the remainder by Continental Landscapes link will open in new window, our grounds maintenance contractor:

Water is supplied in tanks at all sites during the growing season. Most sites are locked to aid security.

If you wish to have a Bonfire on your allotment please read our information.
