This fenced dog free playground was improved as part of the first year of the playbuilder project, following consultations with local children, parents and residents - read more about Playbuilder projects.
The existing climbing frame, roundabout and swings were repainted and new equipment included a jungle climber, a cableway (zip wire) , spinning rope cone climber supplied by Playdale, a multi-directional swing from Fenland and a spinning drum supplied by Lappset to date the only one in the borough, which is proving very popular with local children aged between 3 to 14 who now have an exciting and challenging play facility.
Seating has been provided within the area to allow parents and carers to enjoy the area while their children play.
The play equipment in this play area was manufactured and installed to comply with current safety standards applying at the time of installation and all items of equipment are provided with a safer surface where required.
The play equipment and the immediate surrounding areas are inspected on a regular basis. An annual inspection is also carried out by an independent qualified organisation that prepares a safety audit and a report to enable the Council to plan long term maintenance and renewal
We encourage the use of all our facilities by everyone. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on how we could improve this facility for you.
