The Museum
The Museum was reopened in 2007 following a major redevelopment. Displays range from archaeology to art, from pirates to potteries. Highlights include the Iron Age Poole logboat, the finest collection of Poole Pottery on public display, and a replica hide where you can view the birds of Poole Harbour.
With its stunning new entrance and atrium, Poole Museum's new public facilities include a visitor lounge and terrace with magnificent views over Poole Harbour and the Old Town.
Entry to Poole Museum is free and it is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities.

Poole Trail
Poole Trail is a new interactive way for visitors and residents to experience the heritage and environment of Poole Quay, Old Town and Harbourside Park.
Look out for More to Explore signposts which tell stories and hidden tales about Poole's Hweritage and historic buildings, natural environment and wildlife, attractions and public art.
Poole Trail also delivers films and recordings from the Museum collection to your mobile phone via pooletrail.com.
Other services
Occupying an important medieval port building, Poole History Centre has material for all aspects of research including an extensive library, photographs and maps. The Museum also runs a thriving learning programme for schools.
Scaplen's Court Museum, a medieval town house, is open to the public during August (limited disabled access). Scaplen's Court physic and herb garden is open from late May to September.
Both Scaplen's Court and Poole Museum can be hired as venues for a variety of events.
