Summer Reading Challenge

Watch out for this year's Summer Reading Challenge - Animal Agents, illustrated by the UK's best-selling children's illustrator Tony Ross.

For 2017, there's something peculiar happening at the local library - and that's where the Animal Agents come in! It's a detective agency manned by all kinds of clever animals - furry, scaly and slippery and these guys are out to crack the case with a little help from their friends.

Children aged 0-11 can join in the fun; by reading 6 books over the summer they will receive a host of stickers (some with mysterious smells) and other incentives. Children aged 4-11 who complete the challenge will also get a medal and a certificate. Children under 4 can do the 'mini challenge' and will receive a certificate on completion. Please note medals are not suitable for children under 3 years old.

Sleuth your way to the Reading Agency website for more Summer Reading Challenge information.

The challenge finishes on 16th September so there is still time to join in and complete it!

Take a look at some of the Stop Motion animation fun children had at Broadstone and Creekmoor libraries this summer. Remember all Poole Library children's events are FREE!

Older children and young people can also join in by volunteering.
