Notice Of Marriage
What the 'Notice of Marriage is
The Notice of Marriage is the legal paperwork that you both have to complete before your civil marriage can take place.
Each of you will need to attend in person to give Notice of your intention to marry. This will be the case even if you live in the same registration district.
Who you give Notice to
The Notices of Marriage must be given to the Superintendent Registrar of the district(s) where you live.
You don't have to do this together, but it's better if you can so that any problems that may arise can be dealt with then and not on the wedding day.
