After the closing date, all applications are forwarded to the recruiting manager. A short listing panel usually made up of two or three people from the team you will be working for will assess your application objectively against the person specification criteria.
If successful at this stage you will be invited to attend an interview. The invitation will be be sent by email unless you have chosen an alternative method of contact. Please note, that if you have chosen to have your invitation to interview sent by email you will need to check your spam mail on a daily basis.
Your letter/email will include relevant information such as:
Time and date
Where to go
Who to ask for on arrival
If you need to prepare anything
Assessments we may ask you to do
What you need to bring with you
If you can not attend your interview at your allotted day or time please inform us as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate your reasonable requests for an alternative arrangement but we can not guarantee this.
Due to the volume of applications received, if you have not heard from us within 21 days of the closing date please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. We recognise the amount of time candidates spend on their applications, please contact us after the 21 days if you would like to arrange for feedback on your application. This is not an opportunity to change the Panel decision but intended to assist you to develop your skills for future applications.

Our aim at interview is to appoint the best person for the job. An interview panel will ask you questions based on the job requirements and your application. This will be your opportunity to show them what value you will bring to the role.
They will expect you to have questions for them and will try to answer them at the interview. If they can not answer straight away they will confirm the information to you as soon as possible.
In some instances you may be required to attend a second interview.

Unless otherwise stated, an interview panel member will contact you with the outcome of your interview.
If you are unsuccessful they will offer to give you feedback. This can happen straight away or at a later convenient date when you feel able to absorb the information.
If you are successful, an interview panel member will usually call you to ask if you would like to accept the provisional offer of employment.
Your new line manager will notify HR Services who will issue a confirmation of your offer in writing if a start date has not not agreed. If a start date is agreed you will receive a full contract of employment.
