JOB DESCRIPTION

 

SERVICE UNIT:                Planning & Regeneration Including Building Consultancy Services

JOB TITLE:                      Business Support Apprentice

GRADE:                           NMW under 18’s regardless of age (£3.79 per hour)

RESPONSIBLE TO:          Senior Business Support Officer

 

MAIN PURPOSE

  • Provide administration support to the Planning & Regeneration and Building Consultancy Teams.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1.               Assist with the scanning and indexing of all planning and building consultancy related documentation.     

2.               Print planning and building plans to scale.

3.               Utilise the planning and building consultancy databases to enter and access information.

4.               Respond to telephone calls in a polite, helpful and customer focused way.

5.               Assist with the opening and circulation of incoming post and deal with outgoing post.

6.               To be flexible carrying out general office duties as required.

7.               To attend team meetings and undertake training as required.

8.               To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.

9.               To comply with all decisions, policies and standing orders of the Council and any relevant statutory requirements, including the Equality Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act and Data Protection Act.
