Business Support Apprentice - Commissioning and Improvement – People Services

Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE

  • To assist in providing effective and efficient business support to the Service Unit while developing personal skills and competencies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist and support the Unit, including face to face, telephone, letter and email.
  • Developing skills and competencies in general office duties and learn how to work with suppliers and partners to complete tasks required.
  • Maintaining records using Misoft Word, Excel and other ICT systems including the website and intranet
  • Assisting with processes designed to ensure we meet our obligations to our employees
  • Undertaking research and analysis including the ability to collect and analyse data from various sources, presenting these to officers in a range of formats. 
  • Managing requests for mail-merges to produce survey and consultation materials.
  • Assisting with the collation of surveys, consultations and feedback from customers using our services.
  • Processing requests to update records in a timely manner.
  • Attending meetings and training as required.
  • To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time in line with the level of the post.
  • To attend and complete the apprenticeship training and to complete the agreed NVQ to a satisfactory standard.
  • To comply with all decisions, policies and standing orders of the Council and any relevant statutory requirements, including the Equality Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act and Data Protection Act.
